2025As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we celebrate the incredible journey of Connor Ridsdale, who is entering his 8th year with MPCC. His path from apprentice to supervisor reflects dedication, hard work, and a commitment to continuous growth.
Connor’s 8-Year Journey:
From Apprentice to Warehouse Supervisor
Connor began his journey with MPCC as a warehouse apprentice in 2017. His eagerness to learn and strong work ethic quickly stood out. After completing his apprenticeship in 2018, he secured a permanent role as warehouse assistant, and soon became an integral part of our daily operations.
Connor’s problem-solving skills and leadership potential were evident early on. As the company grew, so did his responsibilities. His promotion to Warehouse Supervisor allowed him to manage an expanding team and lead several warehouse moves. This showed his ability to adapt and lead under pressure.
In 2023, Connor received the opportunity to help establish MPCC’s UAE branch. He relocated to Fujairah in January 2024, where he worked with our Head of Global Warehousing, Matthew Holgate, to set up a new facility in the Fujairah Free Zone. Later that year, Connor managed the move to a larger premises, ensuring smooth operations throughout.
Reflecting on Connor’s journey, Matthew Holgate shared, “It’s been a pleasure to watch Connor grow both professionally and personally since he joined as an apprentice. His dedication and work ethic have always stood out. I’m excited to continue working with him in his new role in the UAE, and I’m confident he’ll continue to excel.”
For those starting their careers, Connor offers this advice: “Embrace every opportunity to learn and challenge yourself. A positive mindset and strong work ethic can open doors to places you never imagined.”
Connor’s journey truly embodies the spirit of National Apprenticeship Week. It highlights how apprenticeships can serve as a powerful springboard for career growth. His contributions to MPCC have been invaluable, and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next. Congratulations, Connor!
